<\/span><\/p>Welcome to the HEQUITY Project<\/b><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The\u00a0<\/span>HEQUITY Project<\/b>\u00a0is a bold, transnational initiative dedicated to transforming the landscape of\u00a0<\/span>European higher education<\/b>\u00a0by embedding\u00a0<\/span>diversity<\/b>,\u00a0<\/span>equity<\/b>, and\u00a0<\/span>inclusion (DEI)<\/b>\u00a0at its core. In a time marked by global mobility and increasing migration, HEQUITY strives to ensure that\u00a0<\/span>migrant and refugee students<\/b>\u00a0are not only welcomed into academic institutions but are also fully supported, empowered, and included throughout their educational journey.<\/span><\/p>

Our mission is to\u00a0equip universities and higher education institutions<\/b>\u00a0with the tools, knowledge, and strategies needed to implement\u00a0effective, sustainable, and inclusive DEI policies<\/b>. Through\u00a0research<\/b>,\u00a0training<\/b>,\u00a0policy development<\/b>, and\u00a0targeted resources<\/b>, we aim to foster academic environments where all students \u2014 regardless of their background \u2014 can thrive and contribute meaningfully.<\/p>

HEQUITY brings together the expertise of institutions and organizations from\u00a0Turkey, Belgium, Italy, and Latvia<\/b>, encouraging collaboration across\u00a0academia<\/b>,\u00a0civil society<\/b>, and\u00a0policy-making bodies<\/b>. Together, we are conducting in-depth research on DEI practices for migrants, developing\u00a0inclusive toolkits and training programs<\/b>, designing\u00a0strategic frameworks<\/b>\u00a0for institutional change, and promoting a shared commitment to\u00a0inclusive education<\/b>\u00a0across Europe.<\/p>
