The HEQUITY Project \u2013 Building Higher Education Quality InclUsIon PaThwaYs<\/b><\/span> is driven by a clear set of objectives aimed at enhancing diversity<\/b><\/span>, equity<\/b><\/span>, and inclusion (DEI)<\/b><\/span> within European higher education systems, with a particular focus on migrant and refugee students<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n

By fostering institutional change and cross-border collaboration, HEQUITY strives to build sustainable pathways for more inclusive academic environments. The project\u2019s core objectives are:<\/p>\n

    Promote Institutional Awareness of DEI Challenges and Strategies<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

    To raise awareness among academic and administrative staff about the structural and cultural barriers that migrant and refugee students face in higher education, and to identify effective responses.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Strengthen Institutional Capacity for Implementing DEI Policies<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

    To provide practical tools, training, and support to universities for developing and applying inclusive practices in admission, retention, and academic support processes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Develop a DEI Toolkit for Higher Education Institutions<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

    To create a comprehensive and adaptable toolkit that equips institutions with actionable guidelines, case studies, and models for inclusive policy-making and student services.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Foster International Cooperation and Knowledge Exchange<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

    To enhance collaboration between universities and civil society organizations across Europe, allowing for the exchange of best practices and joint development of innovative inclusion strategies.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Improve Visibility and Impact of Inclusive Education Models<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

    To widely disseminate project results through digital platforms, public events, academic publications, and policy dialogues, ensuring that HEQUITY\u2019s impact extends beyond the project timeline.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Contribute to EU Policy Goals on Social Inclusion and Equality<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

    To align project efforts with the European Union\u2019s priorities on inclusive education, human rights, and social cohesion, making higher education more accessible and fair for all learners.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
