HEQUITY – Building Higher Education Quality InclUsIon PaThwaYs is a European Union-funded Erasmus+ project dedicated to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in higher education systems. With a strong focus on supporting migrant and refugee students, HEQUITY works to ensure that academic institutions become more inclusive, responsive, and accessible for all learners.
The project brings together a consortium of universities and organizations from Turkey, Belgium, Italy, and Latvia to collaboratively develop research, training programs, and policy tools. These efforts are designed to raise awareness, strengthen institutional capacity, and implement effective DEI strategies in higher education.
Through international cooperation, HEQUITY seeks to create long-term impact by developing a comprehensive DEI Toolkit, organizing capacity-building events, and disseminating knowledge and good practices across Europe. The project is committed to building more equitable academic environments where every student—regardless of background—has the opportunity to succeed.
